My dog is a rottweiler. A wonderful German breed, they get an AWFUL rap in the media. Trusting, loving, yet firm, and security oriented, I love the breed. And I hope and pray he's with us for years. He's a most wonderful member of the gang at our house.
But his Momma ( my girlfriend ) assures me it's BATH DAY.
I am writing this with the luxury of no crashes, and no "weird" little glitches that "Windozer" seems to inflict on my creative work lately. I tried to update the picture you see here on VOX for my profile. And from three different browsers in windows, some firewall setting preventing it no doubt. So I crashed XP like a big old chrysler on a stormy, snowy road, and I slapped the Puppy Linux LIVE CD into my 2 year old Compaq Computer for the reboot, and tried out VOX from the Linux side of computer life.
As usual, it seems the little guy, PUPPY, is a major headache reliever for me at home, just like at file 23 Magazine. And without it, some computers around here would of, well, been rendered useless by stray "Windows" crap.
So where do you get this amazing wonder of OZ programming?
Right here, friends. And dont be shy, it's OPEN SOURCE. That means it's sensibly structured for price. And you dont have to install ANYTHING, it runs from a CD , a floppy, zip disk, or USB pendrive. That's just wack.
If you like it, PLEASE, you should support it. But it's very close to guilt free, worry free, fast and speedy.
And OS's like this, small and fast and reliable, might just make you get excited with all this digital tom foolery again.
I know I am getting more fun per dollar on my stupid old computers than ever before... you might try PUPPY LINUX if your just tired of computer software OS's that are junk, bloated, broke, or just slowed down to a crawl.
Hello and welcome to this humble little blog of small things and curious artifacts. I collect old midi and electronic instruments, left handed guitars, and computer music generating software.
