Wow, almost verbatim of my middle school years, except about 10 years later. I remember placing a tack in this one teacher's chair. He sat on it and never flinched. The dude was in his 70's at the time and I'm sure is long in the grave, but I could swear he sat right on that tack and no effect. My only explanation is that he was wise to the old trick and must have tilted the chair before sitting and left us mystified at his seeming resilience to pain.
